Presbyterian Women

We, the Presbyterian Women (PW) of Bedford Presbyterian Church, seek to nurture our faith and serve God in His Church, the community and beyond. There are 8 members on the PW Coordinating Team which was moderated in 2004 and 2005 by Christine Riley. A New Coordinating Team (CT) would meet seven times during the year.

It is hoped that in 2006, 8 new members will be found and installed to carry on the functions of the coordinating team.

There are two Circles which continue to meet once a month September-June:

In July, Both Circles and their guests will meet at the Peaks of Otter for their Annual Breakfast Gathering.

The Morning Circle: Chaired by Janet Eagler, will meet at the church on most first Wednesdays at 10 A.M.
The Afternoon Circle: Co-chaired by Joy Barefoot and Charlotte McManis, meets in members' homes on first Tuesdays at 3:30 P.M.

Circle Chairs are members of the CT. The Circles meet for Bible Study, planning for service within the church as well as planning for outreach programs in the community. Three members of our PW have served terms on the Presbytery of the Peaks Coordinating Team within the last ten years.
