As one of our 175th Anniversary programs, BPC held an organ recital in memory of Winston Chapman, an enthusiastic member of our church.  Succuming to a genetic illness, Winston left this life too soon at the age of 66; in February of this year.

Winston was especially active in the church choir, where in addition to singing, he occasionally accompanied on his cello. An avid runner and outdoorsman, he and Rev. Salley founded the Bedford Hiking Club.

For this occasion, we were honored to have our former music directoer and Organist, Mr. William Turner, to perform on the 1960 Moller Pipe Organ; accompanied by Mr. Jeffrey Kresge, of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, on Trumpet.
